For the 2021 Annual Meeting, the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) has partnered with the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) in a Joint Virtual conference. The joint conference will be held May 3-7, 2021 (pre-sessions and workshops) and May 10 to June 24, 2021 (main conference). SPNHC is looking to host a series of ‘Virtual Collection Tours’ as part of this year’s Joint Annual Meeting with AIC, and we would like the focus of these sessions to be from institutions and collections from around the world.
An individual tour will be 30 minutes maximum, including time for questions and discussion. These can be presented live or pre-recorded, although for technical reasons we encourage pre-recording. Tours will be grouped into 3 to form a 90-minute session.Attendance of the conference itself will not be a prerequisite to present one of these tours, though support to attend will be available for eligible candidates through the AIC’s Attendees Assisting Attendees Campaign, or via SPNHC’s travel grant scheme – for additional information, contact Elise V.
