The BEES Department invites applications for a tenure-track Professor at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Community/Ecosystem Ecology. We invite outstanding researchers whose work focuses on community, ecosystem, or landscape processes. While area of expertise is open, we are especially interested in candidates working on freshwater or coastal systems, spatial analysis, environmental assessment/remediation, or environmental impacts of land-use and climate change. We seek an innovative scientist who can take advantage of connections with members of the BEES Department, the Academy of Natural Sciences, or other programs at Drexel such as the Department of Biology or the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering.

About the BEES Department
The BEES Department in the College of Arts and Sciences (CoAS) comprises a diverse group of ecologists, evolutionary biologists, geoscientists, and environmental scientists. The Department has research strengths in environmental science, aquatic ecosystems, and biodiversity. Our student body includes approximately 170 undergraduate majors, 10 masters students and 30 PhD students. We offer undergraduate majors in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies & Sustainability, and Geoscience, and a graduate major in Ecology, Evolution & Earth Systems.

Drexel provides excellent opportunities for collaboration and connections for research and teaching through the Academy of Natural Sciences, the Department of Biology, the Department of Sociology, the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering and the Environmental Collaboratory.
