The Lubbock Lake Landmark, a National Historic Landmark and a unit of the Museum of Texas Tech University, is seeking an operations manager to oversee the daily activities of this heritage property. The operations manager will be responsible for managing staff, budgets, facilities, resources, interacting with the public, and other related duties.
The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in heritage and museum sciences or related fields, and at least three years of supervisory experience in a heritage site setting. The candidate will also have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills, as well as a passion for preserving and interpreting the natural and cultural history of the region.
The Lubbock Lake Landmark (over 300 acres in extent) is a nationally recognized archaeological and natural history preserve that offers year-round educational and recreational opportunities for visitors of all ages. The site features a 12,000-year record of human occupation, plant and animal life, and environmental change on the Southern High Plains.
