The local organizing committee, a partnership between the Otago Museum and the University of Otago, is honored to host the 33rd annual meeting of the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections, August 25 – September 1, 2018. For the first time the meeting will be held in the Southern Hemisphere in Dunedin, New Zealand. It will also be the first time that the meeting will be jointly held with the Biodiversity Information Standards community, TDWG.
Abstract Submissions
We are excited to announce the list of accepted workshops and symposia for TDWG2018, many of which will be of great interest to SPNHC members, and to make the call for individual contributions to be published in Biodiversity Information Science and Standards (BISS). Please note that a number of the TDWG workshops and symposia are open to unsolicited submissions.
Submissions to SPNHC for abstracts, workshops, symposia, demos and posters remains open until March 12th 2018
The deadline for both TDWG and SPNHC submissions is Close of Business, your local time, Monday March 12th 2018

Travel Grants
SPNHC will be awarding Christine Allen, Jean de Mouthe, and Fitzgerald Travel grants for the 2018 meeting. Please find eligibility requirements and application instructions on the conference website. The deadline for travel grant application submissions is Close of Business, your local time, Monday March 12th 2018
Registration
Early bird registration will commence on Monday March 12th 2018. Please note that registration includes a membership fee. Be sure that your membership is up to date before registering for the conference. Membership will incur a fee of $75 if you choose to renew at the time of conference registration. If you are already a member of SPNHC or TDWG, the membership fee of $75 is deducted from the registration fee. You can check the status of your membership by contacting the SPNHC Membership Committee Chair
