Two Collections Managers in Geology for the Natural History Museum of Denmark

The Natural History Museum of Denmark (NHMD), University of Copenhagen, is seeking to appoint two permanent fulltime positions as Collections Managers in geology, starting 1 October 2024, or as soon thereafter as possible. The candidates will be part of a diverse Collection Management Team across the museum and will refer to the Head of the Geology and Botany Collections Unit.

The geology team is responsible for the physical management of the relevant collections at NHMD on a day-to-day basis, covering all geological collections at the museum, Paleontology, Petrology, Mineralogy and Meteorite collections. This includes the physical care, administration of loans, and security of the collections. The team works closely with our team of curators, who has the scientific responsibility for the relevant collections. This includes, among other things, responsibilities for approval of research visits, loans and collections growth and scientific use of collections.
Ideal candidates will share a passion for nature, and the long-term preservation of natural history collections.
