Function
To investigate, identify and develop best practices for preventive measure that secure collection and using communication channels to alert the community of thefts and to monitor for the recovery of lost specimens.
Leadership and Composition
The committee consists of a Chairperson or two Co-Chairpersons, SPNHC members from a variety of different collections as interested.
Duties
The committee will explore ways to develop best practices for both the preventative actions to stop collection theft and communications alerts and monitoring networks in an attempt to recover stolen specimens.
